Embracing those moments with Lena and Sophia

Sometimes as parents we get so caught up with life that we forget to take time and embrace those moments. Sat with Sophia today and held her just a bit longer than I normally do. I usually feed her and then immediately take her to the crib but today I cuddled with her and simply embraced the moment. I took a deep breath and held her tight and felt her move around to get comfortable in my arms.
When they are newborns we want so bad for them to sleep through the night because we are so sleep deprived but before we know it, they will turn a year old on you. Then you will wonder what happened to the time. So glad I held her a bit longer because I felt such a calming peace about life and all that the Lord has given my husband and I and it was just a great reminder.
The days are long but the years are short......

Fun pics of my family!

Daddy and Sophia! She didn't want to go to bed and kept crying in the crib until I got her and gave her to daddy and she was all smiles.
Lena doing what she does best. Being silly! She was growling at me. LOL
What a sweet face!

She wanted me to take pics of her hair all nappy. She was very proud of her poofy and nappy hair. LOL!

Sophia 5 months and she couldn't get enough of her toes.

What a sweet face!
Lena can definitely be a hand full but she's so sweet alseep. Things are lot more quiet around my little abode when she's asleep. :)

Easter Weekend 2012

What a great and fun filled weekend! It was Sophia's first Easter and the Lord really blessed!
*Attended a footwash on Thursday with our church. (Maundy Thursday) We had a delightful meal with church family prior to the footwash and then later gathered at the church. Witnessed the Lord on the move! Amen.
*Attended our Good Friday Service on Friday and was reminded why it's Oh so good! Thank You Lord for giving your only Son to die a death that we should have died. You sent your Son in our place and He bore our sins on the cross so that we may have a right relationship with you. Your Son is the perfect sacrifice! Amen.
*Attended Fellowship of Oso Creek's Easter Festival and had a blast! Pics below! Later got to hang out with dear friends, The Carmona Family.
*Yes, on Sunday went to City Church and celebrated our Risen Lord. Thank You Lord that the grave couldn't hold you! I remember clearly Pastor Dave talk about Peter....Peter ran.......
Could it be.....
Later went to Isabella's church and Lena did an easter egg hunt with her and then won a bike in a raffel. How awesome is that!
*Last, I decided to take some pics of the girls because I didn't get any easter pics of the girls.

While lena was waiting to pet some animals, she met a friend (didn't get his name) but they decided to hold hands while waiting. It was adorable! Now, I'm not to sure how Micah would've handled that because he wasn't there but neither one seemed to be bothered by it. LOL

Easter Extravaganza with her friend, Isabella!

What's new with the Lantz girls!

I really don't consider myself at being creative and discipline with writing everything down. Although, it's my intentions because I want to remember everything but I must admit I do know other dear friends who have such an amazing gift in doing so but here it goes....
Lately, this is what I seem to do often when blogging: Keeping you up with the Lantz girls! Indeed they are both growing fast and Sophia is still my chunky monkey and Lena seems to have super powers on being so full of energy at all times.

What's new with Lena Lantz?

She got her first bike and loves it! It can be challenging at times. I think more for me. She seems to always have a fall but does recover after about 15-20 mins of sobbing her eyes out. She can be a little drama about it and when this does tend to happen, she tells me she wants to ride her other "little bike", the tricycle. So we are working with her but she is a very happy girl with her new bike.

Lena's first ride!
Another day out and riding around. We didn't last long after her fall but she enjoyed it while it lasted.
Lena's bonding time with Daddy!
Daddy hanging with Lena under the umbrellas. Lena's idea as she got creative, they sat on the bed and had such a sweet conversation. She is definitely a daddy's girl!

Lena is also learning how to get her own self dress and everyday she has put on her own little outfits together.

I think she's getting the hang of it! We still have some work to do but we will get it together!
Lena and Aubey! I am prepare to show this pic because I absolutely love this pic of her. Lena breastfeeding Aubey. Children no doubt watch and learn from their parents. During my time breastfeeding Sophia, Lena caught on quickly and took it upon herself and would sit with me on the couch and do the same.
In which, still till this day, she will join me as I feed Sophia and hang out with me. I love watching her tend to her Aubey.
She really does enjoy taking time with her Aubey!

What's new with Sophia?
Well, she has now started with baby cereal and does really well. First time pics of Sophia eating baby cereal. She is making the transition quite easy for me and that makes for a happy mommy!
Sophia sucking on her fingers with cereal all over them! She's enjoying it! We also want to share that she has officially started rolling over. She did that soon after she turned 4 months. She can be a little drama about it but she's doing good. We are seeing some fun and great changes in our sweet Sophia!Last but not least, Lena loves being a big sister. We get asked alot how Lena is with Sophia and we share how she is a great big sister and does well with Sophia. I know she will be an amazing big sister and look forward to watching them grow together.
My sweet Sophia really doesn't have a choice, she is loved!
In Him,
Rose
